President's Letter

If you haven’t noticed by now, the OC Ad Club has made a few changes. The first major change is the re-adopting of our founding name the OC Ad Federation. You might ask, why take a step back? As the nation faces both social and economic challenges, we felt it was a perfect time to get back to our roots and focus on our founding principles - to educate, to promote, to influence, to connect, and to protect the advertising community in Orange County.

The new branding communicates our unity as students, creatives, clients, vendors, and media. The logo is simple in concept - it’s bold icon stature signifies the strength we have as a community when we act together; the free-form character within the icon represents the individual creativity that makes us each unique; and the floating elevation conveys our ability to overcome obstacles and emerge successful.

Combined with the re-branding, the OC Ad Fed is making a commitment to become your gateway to the advertising community through a new website dedicated to social networking and communication;  a stronger commitment to partner with education; creation of an ad community advisory group; and a lineup of programs relevant to new technologies and emerging practices.

Involvement is simple - we welcome all individuals and organizations that have any interest or role with advertising or marketing. Whether you work indirectly with an in-house marketing department at a corporation, are the Executive Creative Director at a leading agency, or are a student or teacher focused on the principles of advertising, design and marketing, we have something for you and I am sure you have something to share with us.

We have an amazing set of programs designed to educate and help you implement emerging technologies and social platforms, so bookmark this site and stay informed. You can also find us by visiting the many social communities (linked from within our home page) and expand your own social network.

We encourage you to re-engage and embrace your role in this community – share, learn, and grow.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish you continued success.
